A Beautiful Singer Featherweight 221 Centennial Edition.
The Centennial Singer was to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the Singer Company as noted by the special badge on the featherweight. The Centennial Singer Featherweight was only issued for 1 year. The serial number is AJ903021 was made October 26, 1950. This sewing machine has been tested, still works well and overall is in very good condition. The featherweight shows wear appropriate to its age. The finish on the machine is in good condition with a bright shine and some scratches on the bed. The decorative decal border around the base of the featherweight is in surprisingly nice condition.
The featherweight has been cleaned, serviced and tested. The belt (super belt), light (LED), felt pad, protective silicon button, bed cushions and a red spool cover are all new. A new needle is also in the machine. I have included a sample stitch that was done on the machine before I listed it.
The power cord and the foot pedal is in good condition and still has the Bakelite plug. The case is in decent overall condition with some wear. The case still has the original Bakelite handle, foot pedal bracket, oil can holder, inside attached tray and latches that work. I am sorry I do not have keys for it. It comes with an original presser foot, a bobbin case and two bobbins (one is in the bobbin case). The case measures about 11 3/4 inches tall,13 inches across the front and 8 inches deep.
