An Exceptionally Rare 1935 Singer Featherweight 221
Serial number AD882748 was made March 19, 1935. These Featherweights are extremely hard to find. This sewing machine still works well and overall is in amazing condition. The Featherweight has the sought after school bell bobbin threader that only came in the 1933, 1934 and 1935 Singer Featherweight models. At the base of the power terminal there is the opening that only lasted in the featherweights until December of 1935. The featherweight bed is in excellent shape for its age. The finish on the machine is in extremely good condition with a bright shine and only a few light scratches. The decorative border around the base of the featherweight is in good condition. It only shows some wear appropriate to its age.
The featherweight has been tested, cleaned and serviced. The belt (super belt), light (LED), felt pad, protective silicon button, bed cushions and red spool pin cover are all new. A new needle is also in the machine. I have included a sample stitch that was done on the machine before I listed it.
It comes with an electronic foot pedal. If you wish a traditional foot pedal please let me know and I will substitute it for the electronic foot petal.
The case is in good condition with some wear. The case has the diamond pattern inside the case and on the tray. It still has the tray and oil can holder in the case. I replaced the D ring handle on the top of the case with a reproduction D ring handle of its time period. The latches work well. The case comes with 2 keys.
The featherweight comes with 2 bobbins (1 is inside the original bobbin case and the other is in the attachment box), a bobbin case, an original pressor foot, a narrow hemmer, a ruffler, an adjustable hemmer, an edge stitcher, a gathering foot, and a multi-slotted binder with guide pins. All the attachments are in a Green Singer Attachment box. There is also a blind stitch attachment in its original box.
The case measures about 12 inches tall, 13 inches across the front and 8 inches deep.

The shipping box is approximately 21 x 14 x 13 inches and weighs 22 pounds.
