Ancho: 2,6 cm.Peso: 48 gr.Descripción:- Abrelatas de hierro numerado.- El abrelatas fue un utensilio diseñado para abrir las latas en conserva, pero no fue inventado hasta 45 años después de la aparición de las conservas enlatadas, por lo que, hasta ese momento se utilizaban todo tipo de instrumentos para abrirlas.- Esta pieza en cuestión, es un abrelatas bastante primitivo dado su diseño. Pensamos que podría ser de finales de la Segunda mitad del S.XIX.- Hecha en dos piezas y toda de hierro. Tiene lo que parece una marca inglesa grabada, y una numeración.- El mecanismo es muy sencillo, pensado para presionar con fuerza a la vez que se va cortando la lata.- Tiene la siguiente inscripción: The Canberra. “Made in England”. Rº Nº542651. En la parte baja hay otra inscripción que se ha borrado del desgaste.- Que el Objeto tenga algún Distintivo, Marca o Contraste, es de gran importancia para poder identificar datos como su autor, el sitio donde se fabricó y otros destalles.Conservación y desperfectos:- El abrelatas no presenta roturas ni golpes importantes.- El hierro presenta pequeños puntos de óxido, golpes y rozaduras.
