Listing is for a 1937 Singer featherweight model 221 sewing machine, with storage case (no keys), 1954 instructions for a featherweight 221, and accessories. Tested and runs great. Serial number AE788375 (see last photo), which corresponds to being manufactured in 1937. The inner electrical wiring's outer sheath (white color, see photos 17 and 18) is disintegrating, basically falls apart when touched. I suspect this has the inner black coating for the individual wiring, best to have it professionally replaced/inspected. Light works properly, the black hood over top of the light, is dull, not shiny, and the silver lettering is faded/rubbed. The silver scrolling on the back side has wear, somewhat mostly present, the front (light) side is nearly completely worn away. The flat area has some surface scratching and small dull rub areas, finger swipe like shaped. The base that rises up from the flat area has some rubs and a larger area to left and below "The Singer..." stenciling. Pedal and wiring in excellent condition. The machine is tested and working, may need a light cleaning with lubricant/oiling recommended, as it's been awhile since use. Belt seems strong but recommend you should have a spare handy. Please see photos, keep in mind this is over 8 decades old, and has surface wear to the cosmetics, mechanically sound though. Basically looks well taken care of, cosmetics show use.
Case is in solid condition, though the cosmetics show wear and tear, leather handle has wear and tears, appears to have a metal frame underneath. not perfect though. Exterior bottom of case looks really good, much better than the other sides. The latches work great, no key though, latches open and close easily. Recommended thar latches' release button should be pressed when closing, with these types of latches, I find it better to press the release button when closing the lock, makes for less wear on the mechanism.
I don't think there are any hard to find specialty parts, just normal use parts.
